At Home Project #2: Trendy 20-Minute Skirt

After attending our KICK-OFF month comprised of 2 classes, you should be equipped to tackle our 2nd "At Home Project" for the month of September as well as the previously posted "Tooth Fairy Pillow".  This tutorial is for the '20-minute' skirt (we'll be the judge of that) from one of my favorite blogs, Ruffles and Stuff.  You can find the online tutorial here.
Or try a similar tutorial on The Purl Bee right here.  They also sell the fabric and trim shown in the darling skirt below.  Neon orange elastic?!!  So fun.

This is a great beginner skirt and very trendy right now.  Just look at the following skirts shown on   AlloyForever21FashionBeans (a UK site), and Dillards (mine will be a tad longer:-) )

Learn to use the comment feature on the blog to ask questions and compare your experience & results with others in the group.  You're well on your way to "Learn[ing] 2 Love 2 Sew"!!!

Let's Get Together... yeah, yeah, yeah!!

Sewing machine photo pendant by lemonroom

We are so excited to start this little group to help spread the love of sewing and making wearable crafts.  There is a whole new world out there for you!!!  We have created this blog to help consolidate all of the needed information for our group into one place.  We will post our upcoming classes, supplies needed, things we are in need of from you, our favorite sewing and craft inspiration blogs, favorite places to buy fabric, and so on.  We hope that you will utilize this blog to ask questions, make comments, find others who are learning just like you, and find the support and fun you need to start on your "creating" journey.  Take a minute to read the amazing quote from Pres. Uchtdorf on "creating" in the sidebar for some needed inspiration.  We are by no means "experts", but we love to sew and create things and want to be able to share what we know with you.  Please feel free to ask us questions.  We will do our best to answer them.  We would love to hear what type of things you would like to learn how to sew or which techniques you would like to learn.  Feedback will help so much in making this group a success.  Your patience will be appreciated as we figure out how to get this party started:-)
